Meredith Blis (Sincoff) grew up in the music business. Her father, Milton Sincoff, was a Senior VP at Arista records, which gave her an insider’s view of the industry. After graduating with a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, she continued her education at The Juilliard School extension division where she focused on classical composition and music theory. She has had the good fortune to have studied with some of the top names in the business including Cari Cole, Tom Jackson, Renee Grant Williams, Jason Blume & Pat Pattison.
Her early career in New York took her from Elektra Records, to The Hit Factory recording studio, and the Absolute Audio Mastering Studio. She was also a talent buyer, booking music venues, until a friend asked if she would substitute teach, “I discovered that I loved teaching music to people!”
The rest is history. Before moving to Music City, Meredith taught high school music in Taos New Mexico, while also running a private practice. In Nashville, she continued teaching private lessons on Music Row.
As a musical artist, Merideth has 2 award winning albums, and has performed Blues & her original Piano-driven Alternative Pop across throughout the U.S. She is a dedicated songwriter and sits on the Board for the Tennessee Songwriters Association International.
Meredith is also a certified yoga instructor which gives her a unique and advanced insight into understanding the voice, body and mind — fostering the development of specialized techniques to help artists release tension/blocks, connect with their potential, and expand their creativity. “It’s amazing to experience how yoga helps to develop both voice and performance.”
