Cynthia Cárdenas is a guitarist, composer, teacher, and performer with over 7 years of teaching experience of all levels and various styles. She attended Texas A&M International University for a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and studied with guitar virtuosos Regi Wooten, Jennifer Batten, World-renown Classical Guitarist Philip Hii, Jazz Masters, Ric Cortez, Keith Justus, and Lenny Breau Protege, Stephen Anderson.
Cynthia also studied advanced music theory with Harmonica/Piano Legend, Howard Levy, and piano techniques with Dr. Mary Grace Carroll and the head of Del Mar College, Dr. Tammie Burger, among other lessons from stellar musicians. She has performed in a variety of settings from solo works, duos, power trios, tribute bands, up to full orchestras, some of which were under the direction of Grammy Award Winning, Roy "Futureman" Wooten.
Cynthia delights in sharing the joy of music through teaching and values her students as unique individuals. "My goal Is to inspire my students and cultivate their interests to help them develop their best self." She teaches guitar, bass, music theory/notation, ear training, performance and ensures her students receive a well-rounded musical education.
